A pencil study of a Jeweller. Multiple pencils were used to vary texture and achieve a high level of detail. 30 x 50 cm Pencil on paper.
My first test with oil paints. Experimenting with contrasting light sources on opposite sides of the face created interesting textures and colours which worked well with the vibrancy and texture of oil paint. 60 x 40 cm Oil on canvas.
